THREE SICK BULLIES TORTURE TEEN WITH ASPERGERS, AND GET AWAY WITH IT!

17 Oct

Reading the news often makes me feel utterly sick and feels me with total terror, so I do try to avoid it as often as seemingly possible. But its everywhere you don’t even need to tune into a news station on the television or radio, pick up a paper or search the internet, because networks such as the all to popular Twitter and good old Facebook have become news broadcasters in their own right. It’s considered a fact that these social networking sites give us the news before its even aired on the national news! More then likely before the journalist has even got his foot through the door of the all to often “Crime Scene” So I guess the term “Seemingly Possible” was a draft dizzy expression to make!

So yesterday I’m trolling through my Facebook, like to many of us do! Only to come across a disgusting, stomach wrenching news-feed updated by one of my favourite pages “The National Autistic Society!” The, Headline reads:

“This week, three men who brutally attacked a 17 year-old with Asperger syndrome were let off with just 80 hours of community service.”

Clicking on the link provided I found myself faced with total shock horror. This countries justice system was truly confirmed the joke we all suspected it to be. Believe me, I’m not just ranting because this boy who was so brutally attacked in a sickening three day ordeal was on the autism spectrum (Though yes this is a major part of it!) But I would also rant if the person subjected to this degree of torture was what societies describes as, “Neurotypical” However this crime was inflicted on a person who was vulnerable and “disabled” Making this one ghastly disability hate crime!

” WARNING! LEAVE NOW IF YOU DON’T WISH TO READ JUST HOW HORRIFIC THIS ATTACK ACTUALLY WAS!”

The three sick & twisted criminals known as Jack Bolton, Andrew Griffin, and Nathan Marshall, all 18 years of age, from Manchester (uk) & known to the police, subjected their 17 year old autistic terrified victim through an unendurable attack, why filming it on their mobile phones. They filmed themselves proudly torturing their teenager victim. The victim who has a diagnosis of Aspergers (a form of autism) was treated in such an inhuman way that it is a total disbelieve that they were not sent to jail to rot. The Scumful three pelted their victim with dog mess, scratched his limbs with sandpaper, kicked and jumped on his head, beat him with a tennis racket and then forced him to drink vodka and gin until he passed out. A National Newspaper The Daily Mail wrote:

Mobile phone footage showed the yobs laughing and joking as they made him endure other abuse and, in a final humiliating assault, they applied adhesive tape to his genital area before ripping the tape off.

It is in my opinion that after reading this story, posted by the Daily Mail and the National Autistic Society’s Facebook page “Judge Jonathan Geake” who imposed this despicable insulting “so called sentence” of  three-month curfews and ordered them to carry out 80 hours’ unpaid community work as ‘an intensive alternative to custody’ is a prime example of  what our justice system is today. “AN UTTER JOKE!”

The victim will live with this horrid disturbing attack for the rest of his live. My guess is he has been left with no confidence or trust in the human race. Instead he is left with just a body crippled by fear. How will this teenage boy ever live a full and independent life now? Yet these beast are allowed to roam our streets, serving a mere 80hrs community service. 80hrs is just a little over three days. Is it bad enough they were not sent to rot in their cell but instead be given a sentence of painting youth clubs or even worse maybe in our schools amongst  our vulnerable children some likely with Aspergers the same condition as their victim! Yet this so called community service order, that is an insult to the word punishment is for a period not even totally four days in total! (If added together that is.) Gosh I give my children a harder punishment for fighting with one another. I’m not stating I know what and where such community service will be served! I’m merely stating that we as a nation see it all to bloody often. Giving something back to the community! Is a term used all to often within our failing justice system. “Yer right” Are they planing to give that young victim his life back? Give him the confidence to go out and meet people, walk the streets free from fear of unprovoked attacks from monsters like these scum-bag offenders? “NO, I THOUGHT NOT!”

The Daily mail online state that Senior police officers and an MP have branded Judge Jonathan Geake sentence “a joke” and like the National Autistic Society, have called for the sentence to be reviewed. The National Autistic Society has launched a campaign where you can get involved. By clicking on the link The national autistic society above, you can tell Judge Jonathan Geake just how wrong he got it! Or visit The Daily Mail Online for the full story including the mug-shots of these low life scum bags who are free to roam our streets and a picture of the “wonderful” Judge him self Jonathan Geake.

EXCLUSION OF AN ASPIE CHILD

4 Mar

So I’m having a pretty good day, till the school contact me.

The rude receptionist at the other end of the phone informed me that little man was being kept in the head masters office and he needed me to come and collect him right away. What the hell, Here we go again. I had only just returned from the school five minutes before as I had to collect some papers from the office and sign a form for little man to see an outreach working that dealt with Aspergers and behavioral problems. She was due in now why couldn’t she do something to help ? After all it’s her job. I was starting to feel like a yo-yo my poor 11 week old son needed his feed yet I’m off out again. Lucky for me I was staying with family due to ongoing plastering works at home so at least I could count on mum.

I marched into that school with steam flying out my ears. I didn’t even look at the receptionist as she was walking a thin line with me. My main concern was for my son and me giving her what for really would not help. She could wait ! Just then I see the head who is walking towards me shaking his head. Yer can u belive it I wanted to shake some sense in to the man but some people are a losing battle and getting this man to understand was kinda like getting a one year old to do math. Lets not forget this guy tried telling me little man had no problems at school just at home! yer right I think he needs to eat his own hat.

The head starts by thanking me for returning to the school and leads me to the office the one that I’m seeing a little to often for my liking.

“I really tried but his just gone to far today” Tried I don’t see anyone trying!  He goes on to tell me that little man has sworn at him and the deputy head. He then was asked to come to the office but instead run of through the school kitchen and along the corridor. No one could catch him and all the time he was running he was shouting abuse at the staff. He said it had to stop. He needs to follow instructions and isn’t! Because of this he thinks its best if he is excluded from the school for the remainder of the day and tomorrow. I’m going to court on the 30th March as the school believe his attendance was poor from June 09 to Nov 09. When ever he refused to go I phoned the school requesting help only to be told it’s my own problem. Then at a meeting I’m told that just because he is diagnosed as having Aspergers does not mean it’s a reason to not attend school. The thing was it wasn’t the reason his sleeping problems brought on by having Aspergers was then the problem and In my mind if a parent needs help you offer it! You don’t make them attend court. Now here I stand and you are excluding my child the very same child you said was an angel in school when you blamed my parenting for his behavior at home. The same child you state should be in school everyday as Aspergers is not a reason for none school attendance. Wow how things have changed! I had a solicitors appointment  at 4pm and now I would not be able to attend. God I’m seeing a solicitor for the school having me up in court but I’m unable to make appointments with him as the head and reception staff are always calling me in.

“Miss Parkinson you need to understand I have no choice If Giovanni did not have special needs this would have happened a long time ago” What the hell you trying to justify this. You people denied having received his formal diagnosis but it was sent to six different professionals within the school, a meeting was held with his DR and the school SENGO. Some how I find this hard to belive and to be honest as a school a diagnosis on paper should not of mattered you should have recognized he had special educational needs. As some of you may know I have sent my request to the LEA for an assessment of needs with the schools full support. Now we understand why the sudden turn around occurred. You just want him out! You give up!

The head lets little man into the office and explains whats going to happen. He just looks at me and make no eye contact with the head then turns and tells him his made a big mistake just you wait and see! With this I looked at the head with a smile and said ” Do you see ? My son is a clever child because he speaks the truth! You may not yet see it but yes this is a massive mistake on your part. I turn around and me and little man headed for the door. Just as I’m about to leave the head shouts OH ONE MORE THING. EXCLUDING HIM EVERYDAY AT LUNCHTIMES IS  LOOKING VERY LIKELY RIGHT NOW. I bite mt lip and just nod and walk away. If they really think I’m going to pick him up each and every lunchtime then they are thicker then i fault. I have contacted educational welfare, parents in partnership, the governing body, and the LEA. I also plan on contacting my local MP.

When speaking with little man later on that evening I discover that it all started when he stuck up for his little sister when she fell out with another child. He was trying to be there for his sister.

Hands together let’s pray for autism.

11 Feb

As I scroll though my Facebook home page I read the many status updates. Most are full of excitement for in a few days time it will be Valentines day. But if like me you are a mother of a child on the autistic spectrum you will know that Valentines day Sunday 14th Feb 2010 will be a far more important day for some. A day to come together, show support, raise awareness and most of all pray. What are we praying for? Autism that’s what.

Autism Sunday  is the International Day of Prayer for Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. It’s has now become a recognised worldwide event that was first founded in the UK in 2002 by Ivan and Charika Corea. Who like myself  are proud parents of an autistic child and both British autism campaigners. When I read about this massive achievement  they have made by taking something and forming into something massive by using none other than their voice really inspired me to get heard and not be ignored. If  we are not the voice for our child and others like them who will be?  I seem to spend a great deal of my time fighting for little mans rights and convincing myself that the longer and harder I push the more chance I will have in succeeding. Yes it can behard work, tiring, upsetting, disappointing but also you will find it gives you a great sense off  hope and passion. Like they say if you don’t seceded the first time try again. And it’s so true you never give up. Right now I’m fighting for a better education for my son. More SEN services and support groups. I think once this is donesomething else will need addressing it always does. So when days like Autism Sunday come around it puts it all into perspective. And when the world is coming together in pray for something I raise awareness for every single day it’s so exhilarating 🙂 It’s wonderful to see just how far we have come.

Another great thing about Autism Sunday is the messages that flood in from some of the great people of our nation.  Here I have listed you a few people who have sent best wishes for this coming Sunday

  • Prime Minister Gordon Brown
  • The world-renowned autism expert Professor Simon Baron Cohen of Cambridge University

  • The Minister of State of Her Majesty’s Government, Angela Smith MP who is the Minister for Third Sector,
  • Shadow Welsh Secretary and the architect of the Autism Bill 2009 in the United Kingdom, Cheryl Gillan MP
  • The Mayor of London Boris Johnson
