6 Feb

As many may know, I love hosting a competition, its great to be able to give away a few prizes to my readers! Really it’s a great feeling being able to alert your reader and make their day! I almost love it as much as when I receive that special notification alerting me to a competition I’ve ran (yes, comping is getting a bit addictive but that’s another post altogether)!

So, as you may have guessed already, this is one of them awesome competition post, bringing you the chance to get your paws on some freebies.

Today’s competition is brought to you by “Natural and Clean” a fantastic brand selling ecological innovative household, travel and pet cleaning essentials. We did a review for the brand back in 2011 (Click Here to read) in-which we were bowled over by the magical Whoops a daisy! This stuff is amazing, a powder consisting of super absorbent crystals that when sprinkled directly onto spillage’s, the crystals expand & magically absorb the liquid converting it into a jelly like substance so it can then be easily removed along with any traces of odour with the use of a dust pan and brush. Not only does this save your carpets and upholstery’s from staining but is great for them difficult clean up jobs like urine caused by the little potty training tots or in my case a naughty little kitten. There were loads more great products in the range however, this is one I swear by.

Well, those lovely lot at Natural and Clean, have donated a great selection of there products, including my favourite “Whoops a daisy” as a competition prize.

This isn’t just one or two products we’re talking about… “Oh no”! Natural and Clean are giving you lovely lot, the chance to bag yourselves a huge bundle of goodies, consisting of 9 Natural and Clean products, worth the tidy sum of £45.99

BecoPotty The Little Eco Potty

3 Feb

As our babies transform from baby to toddler, with it comes a whole new host of challenges, one being “Potty training”

Little man aka “A boy with Aspergers who is now 11- years-old was by far the easiest to train, mainly due to the fact he suffers from sensory processing difficulties and therefore hated the feeling of being wet, hence the reason he was out of nappies as soon as he hit two! My daughter Alice-Sara now 9-years old took a little longer but was clean out of nappies by the age of 3. Now it was the turn of Harley, my youngest little duckling, a toddler in training so to speak.

We noticed that Harley took a slight interest in the potty aged around 18 ms though it was some time before we saw any potty action.

BecoThings heard about our mission to potty train Harley and contacted me via email to offer a review of the all new improved BecoPotty. This is a 100% biodegradable potty, meaning once our mission was complete we could use it to plant some pretty flowers in the garden and this environmentally friendly potty would disappear over time, meaning we would be doing a great thing for our planet.

With the mission to get rid of the nappies and get Harley in his cute bob the builder pants, sometime following his 2nd birthday, I agreed and awaited the delivery of this earth friendly potty.

BecoThings, informed us that they only had stock of the Pink potty and given I’m not the kind of mother who believes that pink is strictly for girls and blue is for boys I didn’t give a hoot and nether did Harley.

We decided to take the potty to Butlins when we went to the tots100 Christmas Party, sadly, the only potty action we saw was when big sister decided she needed to be sick and it came up tops as a sick bucket.

We celebrated the Little guys birthday on the 11th December 2011, still nothing! However as the fireworks marked a new year come the 1st January 2012, my Little Harley created his own fireworks at ours as he took to the potty and graced it with pee-pee for the very first time. This mummy was so made up I even sang the potty song… you know the one… from, “Look who’s talking” that adorable film from the 90’s!

Since then his been peeing in his “Pink Becopotty” on a daily basis! There is yet to be a number 2 (but hey one step at a time)! His still not in his Bob the builder underwear but is wearing pull ups. Oh and his actually standing over the potty to take a pee, like a real little man bless him, hence the reason I decided not to shoot the action!

So, was it down to the BecoPotty? Who knows! Nonetheless the BecoPotty is a great little pot, well made and the fact it’s environmentally friendly is an awesome little touch to this well made little earth friendly Eco potty.
