I am mom to a 13 yr old boy with Asperger’s and Sensory Processing Disorder. I can completely relate to the “alone” feeling we go through, our kids can be so misunderstood by the world and our parenting judged. This can be depressing for us at times, so I just try and imagine how he must feel!
I personaly found great results using the techniques from “The Exlosive Child” by Dr Ross Green. He also has a second book called “Lost at School”. Anyone and everyone that is involved in my son’s education HAS to practice the same techniques… Needless to say he is mostly homeschooled! He does go for academic support through a private school once per week, goes for life skills coaching in the community, is starting Art Therapy and is enrolled in Computer Graphic design courses. He gets far more out of an idividual custom plan for his education then he would in a standard classroom setting.
Sometimes the battle seems overwhelming to find the right fit for our kids but in the end it will be worth it. Remember we are the ones that know our kids best, so you decide what he needs and fight to find it!

Cute cute cute kid. Of course I would love fiery red hair since I was a fiery red head as a child as well.

I don’t know much about Aspergers/Autism but from what I understand sometimes there are sensation issues with clothing. And of course everything medical or specialty is outrageoulsy expensive.

I came across a website that makes compression clothing. Not my site, no I do not sell them. But the guy that does mentioned that he made a jumpsuit for I believe his nephew that has autism and the little boy was able to wear it without the sensation issues. is the website. Maybe this info will be of use to you or another person struggling with the challenges of autism. I buy my compression clothes from him, he is a good guy. His phone number is on the website and in my experience he does not gouge on prices. You will have to call him to have the clothing made, it is not listed on the site.

    I hope this helps someone.
